Why does my recording of the LSU game only capture about 3/4 of the full game?

Question

If I set my DVR to record a football game, and there are no major delays or overtime in the game, I would expect that recording to have the full game.  Not with Cox, apparently.

Hi, AdamBL. With sporting events, you may have to set your DVR schedule to end later than what the guide says. This way you will get the full game. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks, Lisa - Cox Support Forums Moderator

I'm seeing all sorts of fluctuation with recording games. Sometimes they are too short but usually 1 to 1.5 hours too long. The actual recording time never matches the scheduled time on the guide
