Sound bar issues…
So here’s my setup: Hisense smart tv, one HDMI Arc port, JBL Linkbar soundbar, and then contour 2 cable box and some gaming devices.
Now I am trying to get the soundbar to work and it works just fine with apps and gaming but when I switch to cable it doesn’t work.
The HDMI Arc cord goes from tv to soundbar, cable is on HDMI 2 and gaming HDMI 3.
why can’t I get sound from the cable box?
any help is appreciated thanks,

What are your HDMI Audio setting on the cable-box?

Bruce is right that it could be cable box’s selected audio format. Try PCM, and then other format options. If still no sound, suggest using an optical cable from the cable box the your soundbar’s optical input, if it has one.
