DVR tuner issue

If I have a 6 Tuner DVR, then why is it showing all tuners in use if we only have 4 shows being recorded?

Hiphubby123,
Do you have client boxes? If so, they could be reserving tuners for pausing and rewinding. Watching a channel on the DVR also requires a tuner.

It happened again just now.  In answer to your question, I guess I’m unsure what you’re asking me.  I do have three client boxes.  Do I need to disable a feature on those boxes in order to truly have the full 6 show recording availability?

While recording, watching or simultaneously recording and watching via simultaneous devices require separate tuners.

The Host DVR Contour box will be able to record as long as there are no scheduling conflicts for the 6 programmed DVR recordings. -Dustin
