What happens to @cox.net email if you cancel Cox Internet Plan after the transition?

I am not planning to do this but, once the email transition to Yahoo has been completed, if you later need to cancel your Cox internet service, will that have any impact on your Cox.net email account with Yahoo?  My guess is that it should not since, Cox is no longer providing email as part of the Internet Service.

Hello information about your Yahoo account after the transition is completed can be found on this page https://www.cox.com/residential/support/access-and-log-in-to-yahoo-mail-after-transition.html

On this page is the following tip

Access the cox.net email address if I choose to discontinue services with Cox After the move to Yahoo Mail is complete, and you accept their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, your cox.net email address will be supported by Yahoo and is accessible to you even if you choose to discontinue service with Cox.

I'm also wondering this, because the document at https://www.cox.com/residential/support/coxnet-email-transitioning-to-yahoo.html does not mention anything in regards to this question.
