Unable to add cox email to accounts using Mac OS

When trying to add cox email to Apple Mail accounts and entering the user id/password, I keep getting " unable to verify account" message. I can use the same user id/password to sign on to the Cox web mail page OK. Using Mac OS 12.2.1 and Apple Mail 15.0. How do I get my cox account and running back in Apple Mail?
