Removing attachment with removing email

Hi Cox forum,

I looking for a solution to remove email attachments sent to me without removing the email itself.

Example: I send an email with attachment(s) for comment to a contractor. He then replies to that email yet the attachment I originally sent I want to be removed, to save on space, yet not the actual replied email.
