Possible spam

I've received 2 emails purportedly from Cox, that appeared in my spam folder for J.burkhart@cox.net. the first, titled ICCAN Domain Verification, asked me to verify my e-mail address to prevent domain suspension. the 2nd, titled HR DEPT, says "cox.net sent you a document to review and sign. I've not clicked on anything in either. Is either of these a valid request from Cox, or should I just delete them?
