I was just contacted by the following number

They were asking me to give information to confirm an appointment I have for a technician. Is this a standard and normal process. Just want to confirm before messaging a random number. Thanks.

Hi The OnlyBentely, did you end up talking to someone from Cox directly or from this number? I just received a text from this same number from a "Jenn" wanting me to verify some information but I haven't responded.
