Planned Outages

Greetings,

In a classic Dilbert, the PHB requests that in the future, he be notified in advance of all unplanned outages. Perhaps Cox can also do us a solid.

A few days ago there was an outage in my area. The Cox app reflected this status when I opened it to figure out why I'd lost connectivity. I signed up for SMS alerts which did keep me updated. There did not seem to be any advance notice or planning of this outage.

Tonight I lost connectivity (ZIP 85281) and the Cox app informs me that maintenance was planned from now (12:30am-5:54am). This is an outage lasting over five hours while I am wide awake. This is a long, long time for a weekday's worth of planned outages after the unplanned one.

So I've signed up for SMS alerts again. Where is the signup, or the web page which tracks, the planning of outages, so that when Cox lays out plans, their customers can be advised to prepare for these things ahead of time?

Thank you

There isn't 1. Not customer facing anyway. Text is only system. There is a outage map but that is current not planned. Planned is proprietary. Get a cellular backup or better ISP.
