Hello, do you have a splitter where the modem is located? If so, I would recommend bypassing it and seeing if that temporarily resolves the issue. Splitters can sometimes fail without warning or experience a degradation in signal over time. I am not detecting any packet loss on the modem at this time. When experiencing packet loss and high ping, are you on a hard-wired connection or are you on WiFi? -Kevin M. Cox Support Forum Moderator

I have bypassed my router, bypassed the coaxial splitter, hard wired into the modem, unplugged the modem to reboot it so it will recognize that a new device is connected to it and the ping is still unusually high. I have no idea what has caused this substantial loss in connection quality. The problem is exacerbated by putting a load on the network despite not even coming close to the download limit set by my account.

Hi Fivescotts, your modem is still reporting signal levels that are outside our preferred specifications. If you've reconnected the coax splitter, it's possible that the splitter needs to be replaced. If you haven't reconnected the splitter, I suggest scheduling a service call.
