Can you recommend a modem for preferred 150?

I currently have the 150 internet package and renting the DTC4141 that was given to me from cox. Can someone recommend a modem so I don't have to keep renting. I know the site has modems listed, but the internet has upgraded from 100 to 150. Honestly I don't know anything about this stuff so I am lost.

Thank you.

I'll be shopping for a new router soon and have a "wish list" for its features.  For example, I want to share my printer from the router as well as an external hard-drive enclosure.  Therefore, it'll need print-server software as well as USB ports.

I only write this to give you some ideas for your needs.

ARRIS Surfboard SB6183 16x4 DOCSIS 3.0 and CM8200/ SB8200 DOCSIS 3.1
32x8 (Cox sells one retailers sell other) both use Broadcom chips.

I'd buy the CM8200/ SB8200 with DOCSIS 3.1 even for Cox's 150 Mbps/ 10 Mbps plan. SB6183 will save you money now but you'll eventually want a DOCSIS 3.1 modem..

That shouldn't be a problem.  Routers have 1 WAN port for your modem and at least 4 LAN ports to directly wire your devices.
