I have 2 computer on wireless network. one is a desktop running windows 10 the other is a laptop running windows 7. The laptop knows it is connected to a network, but does not recognize anything else on the network ( ie tv,printer tablets). The desktop recognizes everything on the network, but feel the laptop is a intruder. I have told the desktop that the laptop id friendly and sent out a password, but the laptop does not recognize it. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Hey dcjones, for my house i setup a home group that lets various pcs/laptops access folders or areas i have set as shared. Did you also setup a home group?
There are a couple ways to access the home group setup. To access home group settings right click your network icon and then click "Open Network and Sharing Center" and click the home group link at the bottom left. Or open control panel and with the view set as "Small Icons" you can click the HomeGroup link.
Good Luck!
