How do you add a new ipod to your home wifi without adding the mac address or is there a website I need to go to

You don't add the MAC address of a device to your network unless you use MAC filtering. The normal process is to enter in your passphrase/password for the network into the device. Do you not have the password or is your network set up in a different way?
