Whole Home DVR Cisco STB DLNA issue

I am trying to access my recorded shows on my PC.  I have the DVR connected via ethernet to my router (As suggested by the installing technician).  He told me that the new DVR's supported DLNA.  I connect to the DVR (Via Windows Media), and can see all of the recorded shows, correct titles etc, but cannot play them.  Anyone have any luck with this?

DVR shows up as a Media Device...So far so good

I open Windows Media Player, Looks good in here.


Then the Error...Any ideas on why this is happening?

This setup will not work with Windows Media player at this time.  I believe the issue is with DTCP-IP support.  The PS3 has a feature to enable this however I don't believe Windows Media Player supports that option.

You should inform your tech's to stop telling customers of the option to "Watch recorded shows on PC through Windows Media" then.  This is false advertisement.

Hmm, that's not a feature we advertise (all our internal documentation on it says we don't provide tech support for the feature, just that it happens to be available for the PS3 for customers who want to play around with it, and I don't know that we've ever published anything external about it), and the DTCP-IP option actually only works on the 8742HDC and not the 9865HDC, so we really should not have told anyone that.
