Webmail
I started using Webmail a week ago. I use my cox.net email address and the same password I used with Outlook. It works, but I have to cancel out of it and re try several times. When it finally works, it is still SO SLOW! It takes about 5 minutes to load my emails. I don't want to use Outlook again and would rather not switch to gmail since I have used my cox.com email address for years. I do have a gmail address though, so I guess I will just delete my cox.net email if I have to. HELP!

Hello LisaL,
That sounds like alot to just be able to access email. Which web browser are you using? We recommend Google Chrome, Firefox, IE, or Safari. You may want to also clear the cache, delete temporary internet files, clear history. Does this happen on more than one device (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.)?

When you say " It takes about 5 minutes to load my emails" how do you mean that? Do you mean the site itself is taking longer to load? Or are you using enhanced and talking about the progress bar as the flash plugin loads?
One thing to check, if using enhanced, is the number of folders. If you have more then 10, it can really slow down the UI as it tries to read the headers. Also, make sure you don't have any folders starting with special characters.
You may want to create a test account and access that, so you know if its the site, or the site loading that email account, thats the problem.

I use Internet Explorer, I get to Webmail through the cox.net website. Is there another way? My cache is likely not full. I only just had my computer wiped completely clean about 10 days ago. I started trying to use Webmail then since I couldn't get Outlook anymore. I only have 5 folders in addition to "inbox" "sent" "trash" etc. Each of those 5 have probably no more than 2 emails in each of them. Once in a while, Webmail will load my mail in only about 30 seconds, but usually it takes several minutes. I don't know what Firefox or Safari are, but I did use Google Chrome a couple of years ago and instantly had problems with it. It crashed my computer many times until I was finally able to uninstall it. I am afraid to load it again.
