Hi! I have just set up my voice mail, but I don't want my one number to go to voice mail when she calls. My sister is an invalid and needs to be able to have the phone keep ringing in the middle of the night when she needs something and I don't want it to keep going to voice mail. Is there any way to exclude her number from going to voicemail when she calls and my mom does not pick up right away when she is sleeping? Thanks!

Good question. And I love your font color
You could use selective call forwarding to forward her number to your cell phone. That way as soon as she calls either your land line or cell phone, she gets through. The only issue is you cant have voicemail on your cell phone, or you will have the same problem.
Another possibility might to use priority ringing. This can't be used in combo with selective call forwarding, since the call won't actually "ring" on your Cox phone before being forwarded. But it will ring the phone in a special way, and that combined with extending the number of rings it takes to go to voicemail might be your best bet. It will also depend what phone plan you have and which of these features are available to you.
Anyone else have any ideas? Maybe some kind of medical caller ID system thing?
