I noticed since changing to Cox for my phone the only indication of voice mail is the stutter dial tone. The message light on my phones does not get activated. Is there a setting for this or just something that does not happen with Cox phone?

I would try a simple power cycle of your phone. I "think" the light is just the phone picking up the stutter dial tone, so if you have one, you should have both, but I could be wrong. I can't remember if there is anything built into a phone switch to activate that. Sorry, been a while since I have touched a PBX. Maybe wait for a confirming post.

Problem solved. I got online and turned VM off waited a bit and turned it back on and now the VM light works on the phone.
