Unexplained Interruption the 12th of EVERY Month

Is anyone else having problems with their television service the 12th of every month? When I call about it they say there isn't any service interruption on my account and they aren't doing any system updates. For no reason they can seem to find, my cable shuts off for 30 minutes to an hour the morning of the 12th day of every month. Can anybody think of a reason why this is happening? I always pay my bill at least 1-2 days before the due date so that's not it.

That does sound odd. Something like this can be hard to identify unless we see it happening, and often when we do catch it then it will end up being something simple and the timing is coincidental. A few questions may be helpful:

What time is it happening? If it's between 12AM and 6AM, it may still be system maintenance even if the technicians you speak to can't see it on their screens.
Is it just the TV? Our system records your modem signals every two hours and has a perfect record for today of the modem associated with your forum account, but that only goes back 2 weeks and unfortunately doesn't log the TV the same way.
Do any channels work when it goes out, or are they all out?

Wow that is weird. Kip is very knowledge and detail oriented, so I bow to his authority, but I thought I would brain storm a few possibilities see if any ring a bell with you.

  • Test of EAS?
  • Do you have some kind of electrical timer? Sprinklers for the grass? Maybe tripping the power on a Amp?
  • Do you have something delivered or something done on your property on the 12th? Oil? Septic? Etc
  • When you say "My cable shuts off" could you describe that? Do you get a error message? All snow? Black screen?
  • What do you do to fix it? Does it come back on it's own?
  • Does it happen at the same time each morning on the 12th?
