Unable to use Cox 8820 Cisco Remote to select TV Input

I just got the Contour Box with the 8820 Cisco Remote.  I have programmed my LG TV on it.  I can adjust the volume with it however I am unable to click the Input button to bring up my menu screen to select my inputs.  I made sure I had TV selected first and still it does not work.  

I was able to do this on my old regular DVR box that was not contour.  Am I doing something wrong?
