More info. I have gone through all the different suggestions on how to set it up. In the end it tells me

selected netowrk is no longer available make sure it is close (I have it sitting right next to it) and

If you have Access Contraol list (ACL) enabled in your outer make sure you have added the below mac address .

I don't believe I have it enabled but not sure and if so how do I add the MAC address

TiffanyR, I have the same problem as Marydfranklin. I have a netgear range extender WN2500RP that I used to use when I had the netgear router from cox. However, I few weeks ago Cox had to replace the router and installed instead a Cisco DPC3825. Now I cannot get the range extender to connect to the cisco router. I keep getting the below message from the range extender. Any ideas or suggestions on what should I do?

Please re-enter the passphrase and try again.
Name (SSID): 5493ff
Security: WPA2-PSK [AES]
Passphrase :

  • If you entered the correct passphrase, and the Extender did not connect to your existing wireless network, you might need to move the Extender closer to your router or to a position with a better line of sight. Check the Extender LEDs to isolate the problem. The LEDs are explained in the installation guide and user manual for your product.
  • If you have Access Control List (ACL) enabled in your router, please make sure you have added below MAC address into your router's Access Control List (ACL).
The Extender MAC address is  02:0F:B5:7C:BB:76 , 10:0D:7F:7C:BB:77 , 12:0D:7F:7C:BB:77
Your wireless adapter MAC address is  02:0F:B5:50:CB:28
Click Cancel to select a different network.
