Ultimate Package

I have the ultimate package and it took 3 visits from cox techs to get it to work now that it has been fixed for some time I am only getting 40 download is that normal for my package?

From this end the connection actually looks pretty healthy.  Are you testing wired or wireless and what make/model router are you using?  I would also suggest testing with a direct connection to the modem and see if your results differ that way.

i tried wired already and it is the same readings they send a cox tech he did absolutely nothing this is the third time i hear that my signal looks good... my modem is a Motorola sb6182

How about without the router?  Note that's not the same as wired with the router in place?

the results are the same without the router downloads speeds still in the 40s

I looked again and your speeds were significantly better on and before the 8th of this month.  Do you recall what may have been different then by chance?

I am seeing a issue with the firmware for the SB6182 there and have resent it to see if it will clear the issues. If you try testing the speed again, what results come back?

the speeds stayed roughly the same around 40 down and 20 up

The modem's signal is showing further problems which is something we would need to have a tech out for. The one thing you can try otherwise would be to see if there is a splitter between the modem and wall outlet and bypass it. If its still having issues with connectivity/speed please email us at cox.help@cox.com and we can set the technician up for you.

How much are you paying for that "ultimate" package? My internet went from 49.99/mo to 62.99/mo and I wasn't even aware of the increase because of my automatic billing.
