Two-fold. Navigating the website as a power user, what EXACTLY are the services I'm paying for?

It seems its extremely difficult to find out what services I'm paying for. Everything is point-click average dumb (read not technically savy) user want to upgrade? It features plus! technology! Ugh, all those "technology" words are useless to me. I just need to know up/down bandwidth, data cap, specific channel lineup, etc...

I purchased an ASUS RT-N66R router, firmware version:3.0.0.4.376_1071-g8696125 to allow for better connection and much faster speeds (and a stronger signal) in my house. So far I had no problems at all connecting the router. But in setting up advanced features, it would be nice to be able to quickly locate at Cox.com what exactly are the upload and download bandwidth speeds I'm paying for. I know I can do a speedtest.net check and see what are my fastest connections (oddly enough, testing out different servers yields wildly different results, but the maximum was close to the max download I know we're paying for, on Cox High Speed premier).

I know I know, rambling on when it really should be a simple question, but is there an easier way for a user who is a bit more knowledgable about technology to navigate the website instead of just mindlessly clicking through tons of "upgrade this now" ads?

Probably the simplest way to view a comprehensive list of your services would be to visit the Interactive Statment/Bill section of cox.com after signing in and clicking to see your most recent statement.

Still didn't help. I said download AND upload. It only mentions download. I was only able to find it after a google search, and for someone like me, the page I found would be a lot more helpful than the normal cox page catering to less-than-knowledgable users, especially when it comes to choosing services I want to purchase.

It looks like you found the link to the terms of service/limitations of service which definitely have some very important information contained.  I wasn't sure if you were looking for information on speeds or data allowances.  If speed information is needed you can shop the Internet plans for your area and select the option near the bottom to compare all features which last I recall will show the upload speeds by plan. If there is anything in particular you're looking let me know and I'll see if I can help.

Also, I'm not sure where the best place to mention this, but every time I try the built-in "speed test" it fails. Not sure if its because almost all the servers nearby I see using the actual website www.speedtest.net are hosted by Comcast and there's some cross-connect competition issues, or if your website just doesn't handle the Ookla API's correctly. It gets stuck on "check latency" and just returns a "Latency Test Error" every time I try it.

(Under My Tools > Internet > Check Internet Speed )

And my point earlier was that I couldn't easily find that page by navigating the website here. I had to do a google search to find that page.

@Bilgediver

There are known issues with the Cox speed test at this time.  Unfortunately there is no estimated time for resolution at this point.
