I have downloaded the app and as I try to log on to the app on my home Cox Network I cannot get into the app. I am receiving Error Message 403 and the app shuts down. Are there others that received this error message? Does anyone have a solution? there is also a box below about selecting your University and when you do Tulane pops up?? What is the reason for this?

What device are you using the App on? Here is a list of compatible devices.
Also, if it's a cellular device, disable the cellular and try it just on your Cox Wifi.
Last, are you using your primary username/password? That would be the one you use to sign in to pay your bill.

I have done that twice already with the same result.... I will try again and let you know... OK I uninsulated and re installed and guess what I got the same 403 error.... judging that your app only has 2.5 stars... should tell you that it is not ready for distribution.

I know Cox's page says Contour 2 is compatible with Android 4.0.3 or higher but maybe not. I loaded the app on my newer phone running 5.1.1 and it works fine. Tried loading it on an older Android phone running 4.1.2 and it won't let me log in ... keeps giving me errors. Maybe there are issues with older versions of the OS.

Do you have any other devices that you can test the app? Was this working until now, or is this the first time this device has used the Contour 2 app?
Thanks,

It is a 4.1.2 device Nichole, not 4.0.3. It wouldn't let me signin so I uninstalled the app. I don't remember the exact error code. Reinstalled it tonight and it is working fine.

The Contour 2 app for iPad that I got at the Apple App Store has the university pull down. It gives me an error saying that it's only for California test users. Where can I get the final app if not in the App Store?

I tried on my iPad .... the dropdown shows Tulane & Oklahoma, that's it, nothing about a CA test. What university are you looking for? I am running an iPad 2 and iOS 8.3, Contour 2 app version 1.2.0.34

I have an iPad Air 32GB running iOS 9.2.1.
I am a residential customer in Connecticut, not attending college, so I don't want to register through a college.
I had been using the earlier version of the Contour app without issue. Then I got a message that the Contour 2 app had now replaced the Contour 1 app, and followed the link to download it. It wouldn't accept my Cox user info and gave me the error 403. I get the CA trial message after trying to register with my Cox user info and password. The message I get is this:
"Something's Not Right Here.
This app is only for customers of Cox's California Contour 2 Trial. If you're a Contour 2 Trial customer (and you'll know if you are!), please give us a call at 1-844-260-0426 and mention error 403."
Also I can't use the earlier version of Contour because it will only allow me to download the Contour 2 app.

Does the Contour 2 app require a different cable receiver than Contour 1? Will I have to upgrade my receiver box to use the new app?

It shouldn't. I'm not sure Contour 2 receivers are available in Connecticut yet. I have a Cisco DVR box with Contour service and can log into the iPad app, I'm in CT too. The requirements for the app from Cox page here:
It does say Contour 2 guide but works for me. I'm watching the UConn game on it as I type.
