Told Countour On Demand is not working and Cox can do nothing
Switched from DirectTv to Cox today. Setup went ok. Trying to watch on demand, and ge nothing but error message Reference 7.1.404 saying to call Cox if problem continues. Well it does so I call. Less than helpful rep tells me problem is with Contour not Cox, and Cox cannot do anytinng to help. No contact info for Contour given, no way to help, just basically welcome to Cox your're paying for a service you can't get and we can't help resovle it. Really?

Update: about twelve hours after installing, and very shortly after writing complaint, On Demand started working. So does it just take a long time to download and start up or was it fixed by someone? Don't know but thought I'd update in case someone else has same problem.

Sorry for the late response. I am glad to hear that everything is working correctly. While it does take some time for the boxes to load everything, it should not have taken an entire day. It is possible that the rep you spoke to sent signals to the box that resolved the issue. Please let us know if you continue to experience any issues with the service. We are here to help.
