Time for organized protest action for ongoing email problems.

Cox customers have had to put up with the email server problems since November 2014.  We have never received any information regarding the problem - just reassuring pablum that the 'issue is being worked'. Since this is not rocket science, the only reasonable conclusion is that Cox just doesn't care.  The expense to fix the problem must be too large for the green eyeshade guys to accept.

So my good friends we are left with two alternatives.  We can continue to grouse on the Forum and get 'reassured' by the Moderators that the crack technical team is actively at work.  Or, we can start a large movement to outside agencies to get Cox Corporate attention.

We need EVERYBODY that has the ongoing email problems to file complaints.

If the problem reoccurs after Cox transfers your server account, refile the complaint with the FCC.  As I mentioned before, COX MUST RESPOND.  If enough FCC complaints start mounting up, Cox may elect to actually fix the problem.

In addition to the FCC complaints, I suggest also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

https://www.bbb.org/

While Cox is not bound by any law to respond to these complaints, the BBB keeps track of complaints and resolutions on their website.  As a business proposition Cox cannot just ignore these complaints.  If there are only a handful it may stay below the radar screen, but if enough people send ifn complaints, again this will force action by Cox.   I have filed the complaint against the Cox Corporate office in Atlanta, Ga.

I suggest in both complaints to point out that this problems has affected many people and has been ongoing since November 2014.  In the BBB complaint I am asking for monetary compensation ($30/month) since Cox has not provided the email service that they have have advertised.

What a silly response. If you can read the English language you could see my 20+ emails over the last 6 months.  My friend Snoopy Mutt  has distinctly described the lastest set of responses from the Cox Forum Moderators

Adding to @duhmel's recommendation... "I suggest in both complaints to point out that this problems has affected many people and has been ongoing since November 2014.  In the BBB complaint I am asking for monetary compensation ($30/month) since Cox has not provided the email service that they have have advertised", it is further suggested that each complainant keep track of time spent responding to these redundant requests for technical information and inform COX Communications that we expect to be compensated for our time.  This is reasonable since we are being solicited for assistance in completing the job of maintaining the email service that we are being charged for.  I have implemented this policy and recommend that all affected customers do the same.  In the unlikely case that COX Communications factor this liability in the cost of further inaction, it may accelerate a resolution.
