So I am stuck with a modem that spits out numbers of data usage that are wrong. I get a letter for overage and of data usage on days when I am not even in the house, the computer is not even on but somehow the modem is and I am being told I am using 10 gigs a day on average? Really?
How is this even remotely possible? This is an obvious ridiculous money grab, because there is no other way to describe it.
Tried calling support and they have no clue other than to try and get me to buy another data plan. It seems you guys are following the comcast model of screwing the customer first in the sake of the almighty dollar.
Your data usage meter is a joke. I am asked to pay my bill on time which I do not have a problem with but in return you people need to get your act together. This is ridiculous.

If you have any measurements of your own we can certainly open a ticket to investigate further to verify the data we're seeing is as accurate as possible. In the meanwhile I'd look at usage for things like streaming video for example which can add up quickly. There's also the possibility usage could be malware related. As a precaution you could run a scan of all PC's to see if any problems turn up.

So are you telling me that watching things like Netflix and Youtube somehow adds up to data usage? Are you kidding me?
I can understand downloading being one thing but I get dinged each time I watch a video? Your tv selection stinks so we use the internet to watch movies. So we pay for a higher tier and have to monitor what we watch on the internet?
This is absolutely ridiculous and a huge scam. Downloading is one thing but online streaming is something else.
You might as well call yourselves comcast lite.

Why would you consider streaming video to be so different than downloading a file? Streaming can be much more data intensive than individual file downloads. Your complaint is unjustified. The data measurement for your activity would be treated the same by any provider. Ask any mobile phone carrier -- many phones display warning messages about how much data can be consumed via streaming.
