String of failed recordings with contour 9865

2-3 week old contour 9865 whole home dvr system had a string of cbs shows that recorded what appears to be less than a minute of a black screen.  Reset the box, doesn't seem to be anything there, other networks during a few of those time slots were fine.  When the installer was here he mentioned they may have to do some work outside when the snow had cleared a bit.  There was a mountain of snow where he needed to be.  Everything was working fine until these 5 shows failed over a 25 hour period.  What kind of pain am I in for..?
