I am really unable to play any online games... the ping is staggering high.. from 5 when the modem was installed in may.. to some where along the lines of 100~1500... google maps just sits there.. i have soaked all my equipment in a bucket of cold water and cut and tied all cable lines. .. .. really.. if I ping something closer like LA... then it's fine.. 30 ms to ping myself.. 30.. it would seem that I am the only one experiencing this... I was just curious because no other posts seem to address any issue like this. Las Vegas I guess is NOT the place to have Cox®..

As you can see... not only the packet loss is kinda a pain... but the downloads sometimes are just .. well.. not there.. cant understand the upload, unless it's compression.. more than likely... if I start a file server, then hey.. im in the money..

Hi Useless Internet Connection,
Those speed test results definitely appear to be subpar. Do you have any of the ping test results or trace routes to show the latency and high ping times you have been experiencing? If you are using a router, is this a wired or a wireless connection? I would like to take a look at the signal levels of the modem, check for any issues there. Could you email me at coxhelp@cox.com and provide the MAC address of the modem, also the name and address on the account.
