Set up my cox webmail acct to have all sent messages saved in my Sent folder and all incoming messages copied and forwarded to my gmail acct with saving the original to my cox webmail. I have sent message from Cox webmail and some show up in the sent folder and others are not. I received a message in my gmail acct and it shows it was sent to my coxmail acct but when I went to the webmail acct, the message is not shown there. I went through all the folders and found several sent messages in the Spam folder. Checked preferences and they are correct but can't find the message received by my cox account and copy forwarded to my gmail. Since Cox refuses to allow email to be sent from the cox server outside of the cox webmail I would have to copy the message in gmail and create a new message then paste the the original sent message the response to that message and my response.
What a mess. Already thinking about not using cox mail when I found out they stopped allowing emails to be sent from a third party email program using cox servers but with this problem is makes cox webmail useless. Already having problems with cox servers not allowing me to long in from Fox network, CBS and others to watch shows online.
Anyone have any ideas what is causing all these internet problems. Tried to contact support but no one was available to help, all staff busy. Problem due to the increasing problems with all their services.

" I have sent message from Cox webmail and some show up in the sent folder and others are not."
Any pattern to this? Any difference if you check the "save a copy" box before sending the mail? The other method being Settings > Preferences > " By default, save a copy in Sent Mail folder ".
"I received a message in my gmail acct and it shows it was sent to my coxmail acct but when I went to the webmail acct, the message is not shown there."
How are you forwarding the Cox email from Cox to gmail? Message Filter? Or normal forwarding? Also to be clear, your forwarding Cox > Gmail right? If you had one forward to the other and back again, you would get a forward loop.
" Since Cox refuses to allow email to be sent from the cox server outside of the cox webmail"
Not sure what you mean by this. Do you mean using Cox's SMTP server when your outside Cox network? If so, that can be gotten around by using password authentication on the outbound with SSL on port 465/587. Or do you mean something else?
"when I found out they stopped allowing emails to be sent from a third party email program "
Whaaa? Nope, I use about 5 separate 3rd party email clients. Some with Pop, some IMAP. Were you having trouble setting one up?

As far as the video content sites are you getting errors logging into the account or errors on their site once you have signed in?
