router firewalls
I am using McAffee Security Suite provided by Cox and an Arris SBR-AC1750 router
Should I disable the firewall on this router?
Is this router's firewall likely to create problems connecting to my cox internet service?

I wouldn't say it's necessary to disable the router's firewall unless you're experiencing a problem with it.

SPI rarlely causes issues, unless you are trying to do something specific like a VPN and need port triggering. If anything, the safety aspects intergrated into NAT and logical routing protect you more. So the router firewall does more good then harm, and the windows firewall does more harm then good IMO, but both are pretty passive enough that you can keep them up without worry of conflict.
Unless, like ChrisL said, you are having a problem. If so, what?
