I have read through the forums looking for an answer to the question of is Cox going to be added to the service providers for Roku users. There have been multiple request and answer by Cox that they will be putting in a service request to have this addressed. This question has progressed for over a year now with no resolution. Is there going to be a fix?

If you're subscribing to a TV package, you'd get the same signal to your house in 2 ways: cable and Internet. Which begs the question, what exactly do you want to do? Watch a remote TV without renting another set-top box? There are ways around that, but what do you want to do?

I want to add tv to a room without a cable outlet and I do not want to have 50 feet of coaxial cable laying on the floors. I rent so I just cant add outlets to the house.

You can transmit the signal from your cable box to a remote TV with a Wireless HD Digital Kit. There are many devices for this wireless transmission...but I'd recommend one that transmits in the 5GHz frequency to eliminate the line-of-sight requirement of the 60GHz devices.
IOGear comes highly recommended: http://www.iogear.com/product/GW3DHDKIT/
What I like about the IOGear is you can use your Cox remote with your 2nd TV to control the set-top box in your living room. The IOGear receiver, connected to your 2nd TV, will rely the signal from the Cox remote back to the transmitter, connected to your cable box.
