I down loaded the Cox/McAfee Security Suite. Immediately, I got three or four "Trojan" warnings, "Threat removed, no further action required." Now, when I open a program, I get a message "A bit of a problem has occurred. We will gather some information and restart your computer."
Really annoying. It restarts about every 5 to 10 minutes. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
Microsoft support isn't a whole lot of help. There's a "root boot" solution involving starting Widows in safe mode. Windows 95, no problem. Windows XP, too. Vista, maybe. Windows 8? I don't even know where the "Start" button is. None of my software works, none of the Office, Photoshop, or Acrobat. Cox mail doesn't work. Arrrrgggg
I think Microsoft has finally created the software that will kill PCs. I'm ready to toss this brand new computer and go get an Apple. Since I have to replace all my software anyway...

It sounds like the detected viruses may have damanged one or more programs or Windows itself on your system. You could try reinstalling either the affected apps or a factory recovery if it feels like a Windows system problem.
