Replace expensive rental cable box with Roku or FireTV ?
I just read Comcast/Xfinity will be allowing user to use a Roku box instead of rental cable box
for full programing they pay for.
They also said up to 5 different Roku users can happen at the same time.
One of my complaints with COX is when they went all digital. I had several TVs in my house, for example
a exercise room that might get 30-45 mins of use 3-4 times a week and I don't like paying for even a mini
box. All boxes should be free since they are now needed to watch anything.
When will COX offer this great consumer money saving feature for Roku or Amazon Fire TV

This is also a no brainer... and both smart TV app along with Roku, FireTV, Apple TV all need to be created a.s.a.p.

Well for starters not sure how tivo would decode digital channels unless a cable card could be used.
Roku, Amazon FireTV are cheap and they connect to a TV. It would be helpful for the consumer.
With so many services coming on line offering programming for Roku or FireTV its just a matter of time
before more customers cut the cord. I wouldn't be surprised if a COX customers have internet from COX and TV from Comcast
assuming their pricing is better. Most young people today don't even have cable, they just do the Netflix or hulu thing.
Considering your statement why do you think Comcast/Xfinity does offer Roku or FireTV use?

Why create an app for a third-party device? Create the app for our Smart TV.

Submitting a request certainly is long over due for this subject. It should have been submitted as soon as COX went
all digital forcing their customers to pay for a box at every TV. As I stated earlier the cable box should be free since you can't
watch the service without it.
I also believe Verizon allows you to watch all their program on line regardless if you are home or away from home.
COX always seems to be slow when it comes to consurmer benefits but right up front when they can charge more.
