Reinitialization of system after power interruption
My cable box was unplugged from the wall and now after reconnecting it, it seems to be reinitializing for over 30 minutes. No channels can be tuned in. Is this normal? How long does this proceed take?

What make/model STB? Which firmware/EPG?
Generally, leave the box unplugged for ~2 minutes. Wait a few minutes after the time returns after re-boot. Total time varies widely depending on make/model and EPG/firmware.
