RE: Adding phone services
Hello, I have a bundle with TV & Internet services. If I add the telephone services can I use my Samsung Smart phone from AT&T as my phone or do I have to use a wireless w/base type phone? If I have to use a wireless/base type, does Cox provide the phone to install the services?

First, unless you want some joker ordering you a pizza, you probably want to remove your home address from a public forum. Second, Cox phone service provides service via a RJ11 phone jack. If your Samsung phone is a cell phone, then you would not be able to use it with Cox. Cox does not include the phone with service, but you may be able to purchase one from them. That would be a question for the person setting up the install.

You would not be able to use your cellular phone as your home phone, you would need to purchase a landline phone to use with your Cox phone service. Unfortunately we do not provide the phone, you would have to purchase the phone on your own.

I have been a customer for close to 20 years now and do not have a home phone nor do I intend to. What do I need to do to stop the annoying mailings,etc. asking me to get one? And for the record, an ad asking me to add a phone is NOT "Important customer information".
