Forum member Health Edge explained that Cox hosts this forum on a domain that is not run by Cox. I am posting this question to see if anyone else had problems logging on. It kept loading but never did load. I had to wait a few hours on both days before i could get in. @Health Edge, you mentioned a workaround of hitting Refresh after 10 seconds. I will try that next time it happens. I thought i saved my notes about your idea but i can't find them.

The work-around for me is clicking on a link (in forums.cox.com) and then counting to 5 and pressing Stop/Escape in the browser. Sometimes you have to wait a little more than 5 seconds, sometimes you can wait less. Depends on how slow the page is at that moment.
I also had some luck with using Adblock to restrict some of the javascript on the page (mostly headers) but that is hit or miss. I was never able to fully isolate which was the bad code.

Thanks for the reminder. I wasn't able to get into the forum at all; so i couldn't click on a link. And now i am getting a "talking" ad when i go to the page to log into the forum. It is loud and annoying. I can understand why you would want to use AdBlock.
