Problem using Cox Speed Check along with not getting service that does anything to fix the problem.

I login and go to the cox speed check and start trying to check the internet speed. I always end up with the same result, Latency Test Error, latency test returned an error while trying to read the latency file. So, I use Speedtest.net to check my speed and just click the begin test on the site and my results are like this. 11/8/2014 3:06 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 24.92 Mb/s 6.34 Mb/s 78 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 3:05 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 28.73 Mb/s 6.74 Mb/s 78 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 3:02 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 23.06 Mb/s 6.75 Mb/s 31 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 2:59 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 31.16 Mb/s 6.73 Mb/s 15 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 2:37 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 33.00 Mb/s 6.79 Mb/s 15 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 2:19 AM GMT 70.178.177.177 42.37 Mb/s 6.71 Mb/s 15 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 1:52 AM GMT 70.178.103.144 12.65 Mb/s 5.04 Mb/s 47 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi 11/8/2014 1:51 AM GMT 70.178.103.144 31.68 Mb/s 5.45 Mb/s 16 ms Tulsa, OK ~ 100 mi Should I be getting a variance this bad all the time on my download speeds, and yes this is on a 50 Mb/s download speed. I also tried calling tech support and get the same story I have gotten over the years that my signals look fine and we can send a tech out to look into this further. I will get the same response as usual that everything looks fine in the house and there must be some issue elsewhere. This has been going on for more than 4 years and still having the same problems. Is there any way somebody at Cox could resolve this?

Hi, are you on a wired (direct from PC to modem), or wireless connection when you run the speedtest?

@Crankster

I just tried it from my connection and I'm not having any problems.  Are you experiencing any performance issues you're trying to troubleshoot?
