Premier but only getting Preferred Speeds

Hi, I am paying for premier and the speeds I'm getting are only 20-25 on average. I tried directly plugging into the modem and it gives me the same speed. I've never hit anything past 30. My router is Linksys EA3500 if that helps. I've called but all the techs told me were to reset my modem, and to connect it directly to see speed changes.

Thanks.

What is your modem make and model number?

Additionally, try going to http://192.168.100.1/cmSignal.htm and sharing the data there.

The modem is a Linksys DPQ3212. I cannot find the cmSignal for the router. I looked around and I don't see anywhere that would allow me to see that data. My router uses Linksys Smart Wi-fi.  Also, I'm having a lot of trouble loading the Cox forums, other pages are fine.

If you connect directly to the cable modem without the router and test the speed what are the results that come back?

Connecting it to the modem without the router, the speed is just at the same. It was an average of 22ish. It ranged from 20-25.

Sorry for the late post. Resetting did not have any effects. I pressed the button and the speed is still the same.

Hi Tiff,

The speed is still at around 20-25 mbps, using speedtest.net. The upload speed seems to be normal at 15mbps.

Hi Tiffany,

I logged in and ran a speed test and the speeds were still 25.

this tier internet pricing is a joke.  Pay for the lowest tier and you will find that you get the same results as the highest tier.

Sour grapes. You left and now your registering on a technical forum just to rant?First on your thread, then on some one elses? If you have a problem, state it and the forum will try to help. If you want to help others with their problems, great. Stick around. change your username and introduce yourself. If not, get out. Trolls not welcome here.
