Porting phone number from Viatalk (VOIP)

Would it be possible to port my number from Viatalk over to my Cox phone? I called customer service and they advised me to post to the forum. Thanks.

Hi, yes the phone is still active.  I won't cancel until after porting (if porting possible)

Hi Hankdoll,

The telephone number must be active with Viatalk for the port to be successful. The telephone service is cancelled through Viatalk once the port is complete. There is no need for you to contact them.

Maria, are you agreeing with my acknowledgement of not canceling prior to porting ....or are you stating that the phone number could in fact be ported?

Yes, in order to port a phone number the account you're porting from must be active and belong to the same person on the account porting to.
