For the past month or so we have noticed any on demand program we try to watch starts getting all pixilated and skips like a scratched DVD would, and sometimes even loses sound. This happens on both of our tvs/boxes and on both regular or HD. This has gotten significantly worse in the past few days it's now impossible to watch anything as it freezes up completely about halfway through, if I can make it that far without turning it off in frustration. I feel like I am paying a whole lot of money(I'm supposedly VIP) for a terrible service. The cable line was installed when we moved into the house in January, my neighbor had cable installed around the same time our problem started, could that possibly be the issue? Please help, I'm paying a lot for nothing :-\

Hi MySelene,
I know how aggravating it is to try to watch something while the picture keeps freezing and pixilating. This is known as tiling. Tiling usually indicates the signal to the cable box is not as strong as it needs to be. This could be from something as simple as a loose connection, to a splitter going bad, or something such as wiring or our equipment outside the home is affected. Have you checked the cable connections on both boxes to ensure they are still finger tight and nothing has become loose? Do you know if you have any splitters connected to the cable line to both boxes?
Let us know if checking those connections help.

I don't see how that would be the issue since it is only premium on-demand titles that are "tiling", the other on-demand titles work fine, but I checked them anyway because I would really like to catch up on some Dexter!! They were all tight and it still unfortunately does the same thing.

Hi MySelene,
Taking a look at your signal levels from this end, both boxes seems to be getting a good signal to them. Since the problem is on both boxes I would recommend setting up a service appointment to have a technician out to take a look into the tiling problem. Can you send us an email to coxhelp@cox.com with your service address?

I've also experienced this problem intermittently and the service technician could find nothing wrong, so we live with it for now.

I am also having this issue and it's only on demand. It's super frustrating because I am paying quite a bit extra to have on demand show time and it doesn't work half the time! I have reset the box, checked the cables, switched out the box and still no fix! I am so frustrated I am half minded to cancel all my services! It would save me $160 a month. I can't even get a LIVE person on the phone to talk to.

I am having the same problem. I start to watch a show - then it breaks all up. Either that or I get the message "We cannot fulfill your request at this time." This happens on over half of the on demand shows I try, increasing each day. I tried tightening connections, unplugging and replugging - no changes. It started about two weeks ago.

If I had a dollar for every time On Demand gives the error message "We are unable to fulfill your request at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later."......my enormous bill would be paid for every month. Everyone is having issues with this, so shame on you for not taking a hard look at YOUR side of things and getting it fixed COX! 20-year customer that's about had it with rate increase after rate increase (to pay for your NEW customers to get great deals) only to have service decrease and decrease!!!
