On Demand - Check back periodically?

I'm curious as to why many On Demand channels are not loading when I try to access them. When I chose a network it starts to load but never fully makes it and I get a message telling me to "Check back periodically for exciting new programing". So I check back periodically and still get the same message. These are networks that up until a week or so ago I could access. I can still access pay per view movies and a few networks. Is this a change in service or just a problem I'm having?

Thanks for your help.

Here are a few of the locations I'm curious about:

Primetime folder

AMC

A&E

Fox

NBC

Freezone\Cable Networks folder

Discovery

Animal Planet.

I have the same issue.  Of recent concern in particular, AMC.  It seems like On Demand via the Contour app had a couple more episodes of Breaking Bad than did the set-top box.  But the last episode available was 513.  Phoenix area.  Tried rebooting the set top box multiple times to no avail.  Quite frustrating, as earlier in the season, it was keeping up (maybe a week behind, but I assume that would be normal).

Hi Steveo,

I was able to pull up your account from the information from forums. It shows your box is getting a good signal to it. Are you still unable to access these folders in On Demand? If so, have you tried to reset your box? Unplug the power for about two minutes. While the power is out, check to ensure your connections are tight and secure on the back of the box. Plug the power back in and allow the box about 3-5 mins to fully load before trying to access the On Demand. Let us know if this works.

Hi AZGuy,

Unfortunately I am unable to take a look at your account. If you've tried rebooting and checked all of your connections to ensure everything is tight and secure and you're still experiencing this problem, we may need to research this issue further. Can you email the team with your full service address and a brief description of your issue to coxhelp@cox.com so we can look into this issue from here?

I just checked and AMC and NBC have access. A&E and Fox still have the "check back" message.

Your signal levels still look OK, so I've just sent a refresh signal to the receiver. If the menus still don't load (and make sure you're navigating from the top On Demand / Channel 1 menu, not entering a channel number directly, as those can change from time to time and old numbers will lead to empty folders), then try one last power-cycle, but if they still don't load after that, it may well be an issue with the receiver itself, as it is a very old unit and could be developing memory or tuner issues that we might not be able to diagnose from here.

In my case, I reported the issue via the web interface to Cox customer service.  Two days ago, I received a boilerplate response to reboot the box (even though I mentioned that I had already done that multiple times) and to check my connections.
However, tonight, On-Demand for AMC was fully populated (for the first time in about a month) and I didn't do anything except check.  I don't know to whom you directed the refresh, Kip, but my particular problem is resolved for now.  In any case, trying a refresh (which can be requested via the automated phone system, if I recall correctly) is a good thing to have in the "knowledge toolbox" should such as situation reoccur.  Thanks for the knowledge, if not the action.

Thanks for the help, sorry it took so long to get back to you.

It seems as though lately all the folders I want to view have had content. I have not used it much this month and I've only had to run a power cycle once and it worked. I know the unit is old so it may be part of the problem. If I run into a problem again I will probably look into it further.

Thanks again
