nntp servers

Does cox permit nntp traffic (Usenet, etc.). If so how should it be configured. If not, why?

There are no limits on Nntp or newsgroup traffic, you would need to use the settings of the site/service you are using for it, though most are tied to port 119 you would need to reference their settings specifically. You can find the list of ports that are blocked on our residential service on our support site here.
