multiple cable modems
Is it possible to use more than one cable modem. I am having little luck with coverage to whole house with my cisco wireless router. Since cable goes to the TVs if I had a modem at the TV I could stream directly to my BlueRay or my Ruko and skip the wireless all together.

Only if you pay for internet service twice. Have you considered MoCA?

So I looked up MoCA and I guess it passes the signal through and has a ethernet port for the streaming device?

Yes. It works in a similar way to the method Cox uses to deliver the internet to you over the cable wire. You buy (atleast) two adapters, connect one where the router/gateway is and then the other in the room where the streaming device is. Did you check out the videos in the link I posted above? Does a decent job describing it I think.
PS. If you have Cox Contour or "Whole Home DVR" then you will have trouble using MoCA. That's because Cox's newer DVR uses MoCA to connect to each DVR in the house. You can get two MoCA signals on one cable line, but it's difficult to configure.

You can, however be prepared for Cox to ask you to pay for a second internet connection. 2 Modems = 2 separate internet charges.
