Mozilla Thunderbird

Having used Mozilla Thunderbird to access multiple e-mail accounts from different e-mail providers for many months through my COX Internet connection, I've recently run into difficulty "connecting" to {blink}@cox.net and {blink}@yahoo.com accounts. Mozilla's "Tech Support" was of no help. Have any others out here in the COX network had similar problems? Is there a remedy?
