Had Contour installed approx a week ago. Picture quality seems to have improved and additional DVR features are great. However, having some serious issue with MoCA and ethernet over cable. I have 2 ActionTec ECB2500C, one was connected to the main DVR box the second connected to the second DVR box. The main DVR box was connected directly to a 2 way splitter, the other connection was to the actiontec. The second box is behind a 2 way splitter that goes to the modem and cable box. I placed the actiontec in line of the second DVR box. Everything worked great for a day, then we were watching a DVR show and it froze, the box would only display boot. Long story short after an hour on the phone with support, turned to the internet to get everything working again. Removed the actiontec devices, followed the proper instructions on powering up both DVR boxes and able to get both DVR's talking again, this morning the remote box was at boot. I need to know what frequency Cox contour is using for MoCA, I want to put my actiontec devices on a different frequency so it does not interfere. I do have console access to modify the actiontec devices. I am now planning on moving my modem and router to a different coax line so nothing is directly connected to the DVR's. Please advise.

My main box is broken, spent another hour on the phone with tech support last night. It appears my issue is not MoCA but that the main box is defective. On a related note I was told that I can expect to have to power cycle the equipment fairly regularily as most all of the calls the tech support gets are due to 2.1.2.9 error where the boxes stop talking.
Chris, who does have this information available, its a pretty basic question. If no one at Cox knows what frequency Cox is using how are your technicians supporting these systems and properly determining and fixing issues? You are the 3rd person from Cox (2 in tech support) that cant answer a simple question.

What RF channel is your MoCA using according to the MoCA summary on page 27 of the system diagnostics? It varies from setup to setup.

Domino, if you are asking me which channel I am using it is D1 (1150Mhz). The devices I am using supports D1 to D8 (1500Mhz). My hope is Cox can give me the channel/frequency they are using to reduce the chance of interference. I am not sure what MoCA summary page or system diagnostic document you are referencing.

Not a document. System diagnostics are 50+ pages of data you access inside your DVR. You can view them on your TV. Accessing the diagnostics section of your DVR varies a bit from model to model. Try holding in the "SELECT" key on your remote until the POWER ICON on the DVR starts blinking (about 5 seconds.) Then press the white arrow up key on your remote. A diagnostics menu, along with a summary page, will appear. Go to the first of the MoCA pages (about page 27 over all.) It will tell you what RF channel that system's MoCA is using. MoCA channel/frequency chart can be found at:

Domino, you are the man. This is the type of support and information I have been looking for. I already had the pdf but thanks for the link. Every morning since Monday I come downstairs to my main box at BOOT. I have 12-14 DVR shows but the DVR show 100% Free so I guess I wont be able to watch any of those. I have to power cycle it 3 or 4 times before it actually boots and when it does you can't use any of the DVR or channel guide functions. It get progressively worse throughout the night and eventually all buttons on the remote stop working.
Domino, thanks again for your response and techical support, it is greatly appreciated.

MoCALV, I'd appreciate knowing what MoCA channel your DVR was using.
