SiliconDust HDHomeRun PRIME CableCard TV 3-Tuner HDHR3-CC if using this can I still record with windows media center using only 1 cable card without having to rent mini boxes for all my computer

If your device already uses a cable card, you do NOT need to rent a mini-box for it... you're already renting the cable card for the same price.

will what still allow the card to record? If thee pc tuner card uses a cable card that replaces the mini box. The mini boxes are for using when the cable goes from the wall cable outlet straight to the tv and there is no digital box or cable card being used.

You will not need to rent a mini box for your SiliconDust HDHomeRun Prime. The CableCARD stands in for a mini box.

Mabey I have confused everyone what I want to do is use prime setup next to router and use over local network for 3 computer to record tv shows
one cable card at router only servicing three unit ?

You're the only one confused, mandymarie. Your 3 computers & HDHomeRun are connected over the LAN, the computers don't have individual tuner cards. There is nothing to connect to a cable, cable card or minibox at the individual computers. The cable card and your cable feed go into the HDHomeRun, it acts like a server to provide media to each device on your local network. All the answers are correct, since the HDHomeRun Prime uses a cable card, that's all you need.
