Is your version compatible with Mac OX 10.11.1 ? When I try to install it all it does is run, and run.....never getting beyond checking software.

As far as we know, yes. Are you trying to download Cox Security Suite Plus Powered by McAfee or McAfee Family Protection? Make sure you are following the steps found on http://bit.ly/InstallCoxSecuritySuite.
