Link light flashes
My link light flashes orange on my motorola modem. I've rebooted, power cycled and still the same. I do have internet connection. I have a dir-615 router hooked up to the modem.

A flashing link light indicates that a device is connected to the Ethernet port and data is being transferred between the computer or router and the cable modem.

Which Motorola modem do you have?
If your talking about the connectivity light that is most bottom, that changes based on 10/100Mbps or 1000Mbps(AKA Gig) connectivity. Blue for Gig, amber for 10/100Mbps.
As stated here the WAN port on the Dlink DIR-615 is only 10/100Mbps, thus the amber light.
