IR Repeater issue with Cisco DVR

I have a Smarthome IR repeater setup and was controlling a TV, DVD player and a Cox HD DVR.  Then we upgraded to a whole house DVR.  Now we have the Cisco Explorer 8642hdc. The new DVR doesn't appear to respond to the IR repeater.  Anyone been successful with there two components.  Here is a link to the IR repeater that I have.....
