Internet slower

I upgraded from Preferred internet to Premier internet, and rebooted the router and everything. The problem is that I get only around 30-40 Mps when it's supposed to be around 100mps. I am using an Ubee 3.16.1 router and it is a DOCSIS 3.0. Can anyone plz help? Thank you!

I was willing to blame our slower speeds on the SuperBowl since we are in the PHX area (just kidding), but perhaps it is due to upgrading Cox is doing. Who knows? Who can get anyone to respond by phone or e-mail? Not me.

Cant find info on a "Ubee 3.16 " router. Is it a gateway or a actual router? Have you tried bypassing it and connecting to the modem?

No sorry it's a modem not router and how would I bypass?

And I talked with an online rep saying that it's not the modem/router itself. However I haven't gotten much further than that, and he tried clearing the "corrupt" data in the modem but after that it was still the same. Slow.

its not about speed, but bandwidth. Cox has none. They can claim all the speed in the world, but if bandwidth is full, you'll get slow speeds. Our price keeps going up, but try to get on the Internet at 7am, 11-12, or 5-7pm. EVERYONE is on, all the bandwidth is taken up. You get 10mbps if you're lucky

_Infamous_, the signal to the Ubee modem is showing fine with no noticeable latency, there do appear to be some issues in its logs with channels bonding but that would not effect the tier of service there. When you are testing the connection speed is it a computer connected direct to the Ubee?
